Hearth’s and Surrounds
A Hearth and/or Surround are focal points. The simple addition of a concrete hearth top to a brick fireplace will offer a more complete look. For more of a statement, a surround can enhance the most boring of fireplaces. Whether it’s a room remodel, new construction or the only thing being added, a hearth or surround from The Concrete Studio will augment any room.

Integral custom color blocks with rubbed black powder and impregnating sealer. The blocks protrude 4inches from the fireplace giving it more depth. It also acts as a mini mantle. This made a nice addition to a simple brick fireplace.
A beautiful monolithic hearth in natural white with a hand troweled finish. The 10ft long hearth was created with a 1/2inch reveal at the bottom to give a floating effect. The concrete belies its size with the simulated effect.
A natural concrete fireplace surround with a matching hearth. These clean and simple lines can create a bold statement for any fireplace. This 5ft tall surround certainly adds a different element. Any dimensions can be used predicated by your taste.
Acid stained hearth with a hand chiseled edge giving it a natural stone appearance. Formerly a brick fireplace, a simple wood base and concrete hearth on top change the entire look. Access holes for gas valves can be accommodated as seen on the right.
A traditional size hearth with a matching mantle, poured with a custom color integral concrete. The sealer is impregnating to give a matte sheen finish. The addition of the concrete helps reduce the overpowering brick that it replaced.
A crescent shaped concrete mantle along with a simple metal surround completes the look of this fireplace. Carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, nickel and various other metals can all be used to incorporate your fireplace into the room.
